Britney Spears has gone to number one in the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time since her debut single Hit Me Baby One More Time.

Womanizer is the star’s comeback single after her well documented problems- and it’s the first song released from her new Circus album. Britney’s track is currently only available for download in the US but still sold a staggering 286,000 copies beating Mariah Carey’s record for biggest first week sales for a female.

Spears also set a record for the biggest jump to number one- last week it was still at number 96!

We're pleased to see Britney back on track and, in true drama queen fashion, she is marking her return to top form with new single Womanizer. And, as the fab pics below from the video show, Britters is embracing change.






In the video, she turns from PVC-clad brunette waitress delivering a stiff drink to a table, to a sexy secretary in chevrons giving male colleagues what for, then back to her trademark blonde for a seductive bedroom scene.
